March was nutrition month, which is the third month after everyone sets new years resolutions to get healthy. Since you’ve probably done a great job this far, you’re probably good to go for the rest of the year until next year’s resolutions, right?
You have undoubtedly seen an increase in the amount of press coverage good eating habits have received between the months of January through March. Between new years resolutions and nutrition month, food is on everyone’s mind more than ever. Hopefully nutrition month’s healthy eating tips, on this blog and other media outlets, have reminded you of those forgotten their new years resolutions and helped you to get back on the better health band wagon.
When making any changes or action plans, the keep to sticking with them is setting S.M.A.R.T. Goals. These are action tasks that are Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic and Timely, such as I will walk for 20 minutes 3 times this week. Setting a goal like I will run a marathon is not a great goal because there is no timeline allocated to it and it’s not attainable unless you have already been training for a marathon.
As April showers will undoubtedly bring May flowers, I hope your S.M.A.R.T. goals will bring you great success in your health journey.
Remember to eat health & live happy,
